Extra Credit
I believe in always trying your best and doing quality work from the very beginning. These two behaviors should result in good grades. That being said, as a busy mother of four I understand that sometimes there are things beyond our control that happen! Students who wish to discuss extra credit options should come see me during tutoring.

Re-takes on tests, quizzes, and daily work are useful to raise a failing grade up to a 75. In order to do so, a re-take request form must be submitted to me. These papers can be found in my room and must be filled out and signed by both the student and the parent. Upon completion, the student can re-take the assignment according to the district grading policy as outlined below:
"Any student, including those in a pre-AP course, can earn the opportunity to retest an assessment falling in the Major Grades Category one time per grading period for each content area. The reassessment must occur within the same nine-week grading period. Note: District Common Assessments, District Writing Assessments, and Projects are not subject to the reassessment guideline.
For grades falling in the Quizzes and Daily Work and Homework Category, students may “redo” two grades per grading period. The higher grade between the reworked and the original assignment shall be recorded, not to exceed a 75. The student will have 5 school days from the date the grade was posted in Gradebook to complete the same or an alternate assignment that covers the same standards (TEKS). Note: Reading Check Quizzes, Test Reviews, and Projects are not subject to the re-do guideline."
